Before you splurge on a sexy new pair of sandals, get your feet in show-off shape. First, soak your soles in warm water, then slough away rough spots with a pumice stone or foot scrub, says Amy Sbarra, owner of Sbarra's Day Spa at the 'Tween Waters Inn in Florida
To whip up your own: Mix 1/2 cup of kosher salt with 1/8 cup of olive oil. Soften dry stems by slathering full-fat whipped cream all over your legs for 10 minutes. "The milk enzyme in the cream exfoliates your skin while the fat moisturizes it."
Next, trim and file your toenails and use a cuticle stick to push back overgrown skin gently. Before you apply polish, swipe a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol over your toenails to absorb any leftover oil (otherwise, your lacquer might smudge). Slick on a base coat, then two coats of a polish. Finish with a high-shine topcoat.
